A great trip exploring and breathing in Bhutan

Dear Sonam,

We had a great trip, exploring the sights and breathing in the atmosphere in Bhutan. It is truly a place worth visiting. Bhutan is rich in history, culture and scenery. I have shared with my friends on the trip and encouraged them to visit Bhutan. I also suggested that they could go through Druk Asia in arranging for their trips.

Thank you for the support.

Mrs Gan

Bhutan by far the most memorable trip

Hi Sonam,

Sorry for the slow reply life is very busy when we come back

Hsia Wa and I had a wonderful trip to Bhutan. We have had many similar trips all over Asia and this was by far the most memorable. The itinerary organization and food were excellent.

But what made our trip so good was Ugyen and ST (our guide and driver). Nothing was too much for them and they went out of the way to help both of us.

Yes Bhutan is expensive but it is a trip well worth taking.

Regards,
John Stanlake

My Bhutan trip happened so beautifully

Dear Sonam,

Kuzuzangpo La!

Bhutan is indeed a very beautiful country. Just a week back and I am already missing the scenic views of the mountains, the valleys, the rice paddies fields and the Chhus.

Comments from the trip.

Guides and Driver

K.P. is a very good and informative guide. I was happy with his service for the first two days. He was a bit slow behind us during our hike up to Tango which I thought was rather surprisingly as I thought him being local and a guide would have most probably hiked up the same route many times. Back in the car, he explained about an injury which I then felt rather apologetic for. If I would have known before, I would have asked him not to do the hike as I could have follow the other group led by Chunjur.

Bhutan is amazingly beautiful; breath-taking landscape

Hi Sonam,

Bhutan is amazingly beautiful. The guide, Dawa, is exceptional in her job and deserves utmost commendation (although she was not the guide assigned in the itinerary you provided). I really enjoyed the breath-taking landscape, imposing dzongs and tranquil monasteries. It was certainly a very different kind of holiday, in a good way.

Since you asked, the main shortcoming in this holiday was the food. Many dishes were bland and worse, repetitive. I believe improvements can be made because after visiting the market in Thimphu, I saw varieties of produce that were not included in the meals.

Also, the hotel, Gangtey Palace in Paro is actually quite beautiful in a rustic way, but perhaps, travellers should be warned that it is a very old wooden building, hence the lack of electricity

Bhutan views, hotels and dzongs are spectacular

Hi Sonam,

It's good to hear from you again! The trip was awesome. The views the hotels and dzongs were nothing short of spectacular. Our guide Norbu is probably the friendliest and most accommodating guide we've ever had. He took care of all our needs and suited our every request to the best of his abilities.
