Happy with the personalized Bhutan tour

Dear Mr Sangay,

I hope our feedback did not sound like a list of complaints. We really meant well as we felt that even though we enjoyed the trip as a whole, there are some areas that could be improved. Thank you also for arranging the halal meals on our flight to Paro.

1. The flights were smooth and comfortable. Food was good. Crew were courteous. Seats for business class were the same as economy class except there was more leg room. There were overhead video screens but there was no video entertainment at all. We have given suggestion to the airline using the feedback form in the flight magazine. The flight magazine TASHI DELEK is also one of the best the we have come across in our experience with 22 different international airlines.

2. The land transport vehicle we got was Hyundai HI 8-seater. It was quite new, spacious and comfortable. The journeys from one city or town to another however were very bumpy along most of the winding mountainous roads. But we had an excellent, skilful, friendly and very reliable driver, Mr Tenzin. Our guide Mr Norbu was also knowledgeable, caring, courteous and helpful. My family and I are very fortunate and grateful to have them as our companions for the 11 days that we were in Bhutan. We are also very happy that we had our own personalised itinerary and package. We have also indicated our happiness and gratitude to Mr Norbu and Mr Tenzin personally.

3. The hotels, facilities and services.
(a) Tenzinling Hotel: spacious rooms, good food, good service.
(b) Kisa Hotel: Average rooms, good food, good service. NO WATER SUPPLY FOR ONE HOUR IN THE MORNING.
(c) Meri Puensum Hotel: Average rooms, good food, good service.
(d) Wangdichholing Hotel: spacious rooms, good food, food service. NO TELEVISION. INCONSISTENT HOT WATER SUPPLY.
(e) Dewachen Hotel: Average rooms, good food, good service.
(f) Metta Resort: Good rooms, good food, excellent service.

4. Our humble suggestions:
Druk Asia conducts or issue a pre-departure briefing for its clients to prepare them for their holiday trip concerning the following:
(a) The weather and the types of clothing/jackets/winter wear, etc;
(b) The tracks/hikes and the types of shoes to wear; the physical fitness required especially for the elderly;
(c) The winding mountainous roads, bumpy grounds, high altitudes and the types of medication to bring;
(d) Picnic type packed lunches while on hikes in regions far from restaurants;
(e) Hotel facilities or lack of them (e.g. no television) so that they can bring their own reading material to while away their time.

This will be more challenging for parents to keep their young children occupied after dinner. We hope more Singaporeans will visit Bhutan to enjoy the beautiful scenery, colourful people and their culture.

Our best regards to all the wonderful staff at Druk Asia (Singapore). Wishing everyone Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2013!

I will try to select a few photos to share with you.

Thank you so much for everything.

Best regards,
