Bhutan was fantastic - the scenery, people and accommodation

Dear Sonam,

Thank you very much for your kind message and apologies that I have not responded earlier. The trip was fantastic. The scenery, the people, accommodation - everything was great even though I will not adopt cheese and chill as part of my diet. As for arra, I loved the alcohol, but a fried egg? Different and definitely something to tell my drinking mates about.

In summary:

Guide - KP was fantastic. Flexible-lah.
Itinerary - Well designed and two nights in each hotel is very sensible. Keep this going. Our only regret is not having done more study on Buddhism. We have both travelled in Bhuddist countries and are familiar with the religion - but we really needed much more work on the deities and their many manifestations as they permeate Bhutan. Tell your customers.

Car - We did not like the Toyota van provided and asked straight away for a change to a 4WD which was rapidly provided. Your advice about expressing any issues etc on Day one is very good. Not many operators do it.
Drivers - Excellent - and we are (very) fussy. Driven through India, Middle East etc.

Hotels -
Taj Tashi - Great room, terrific service but indifferent food. Should be easily fixed.
Uma Panukha - Best of all. Could not fault it. Everything was fantastic. See my Trip Advisor review.
Uma Paro - Good but not as great as Uma Panukha.

Flights: Terrific. Loved the landing at Paro. See our photos attached.

We have told our friends (especially those in Singapore) and hope you continue to prosper. We discovered much about peace and harmony.

All the best,
