Bhutan, The hardest Goodbye!

Bhutan, The hardest Goodbye!
Words truly cannot express how we feel. We loved everything about Bhutan; great scenery, amazing people with great culture and history. The views are stunning and the experience was magical.
We had wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed the whole trip and got a lot of fantastic memories to take back home; from picnic at Chele La Pass overlooking the Haa Valley, hiked up to the legendary Takshang Goemba (Tiger's nest monastery), wearing a Gho and Kira, to the best moment- dancing together with local people at Nak-sel Farm House.
We loved our tour guides; Tashi Tobgay and Lhawang Dorji who kept us entertained with stories, jokes, fables, and a wonderful sense of humour. They created a friendly and collegial atmosphere to our small groups of 35 pax.

Third visit to Bhutan - Fantastic and Amazing

Dear Sangay,

Kuzuzangpo La!!

Wow I did it again...!!!

My stayed at Bhutan was fantastic and amazing...!! Starting when I arrived at airport my helpful and patience guide Tshering was already at the gate waiting for me.

I changed my itinerary to climb Taktsang on 2nd day because weather was good and my hiking was really smooth and it took only 5 hours up and down including my meditation and lunch. I followed Tshering how to climb or maybe I got blessed from Guru Rinpoche! This is my 2nd time climbing Taktsang in my third visit to Bhutan.

Tshering knows where are the best spots so we had our picnics lunch from hotel facing Taktsang...we stopped at cafeteria on the way back to the base for a while.

When I returned to Uma Paro, it was the best time to enjoy my 60-minute free Como S

Enjoyed out stay and visit to Tiger's Nest

Dear Sonam

Thanks for your email. I was also planning to share with you my trip experience.

It was fantastic. We really enjoyed our stay at Paro and the place we visited; Taktsang Monastery, Dochula Pass, Paro Dzong, Thimphu Dzong, Takin. It was to our surprise on the high quality of food and service in the hotel Uma. All the staff are friendly and they speak good English. We made the right choice to stay in the villa as we were assigned a very good butler Garab. He is the best hotel staff I ever encountered. He attends to every single detail to ensure that we are getting the best. I just feel like home. The logistics was also very smooth. We visited Amankora when we were in Thimphu but we like Uma better.

Very pleased in our Bhutan trip

Dear Mindu: Many thanks for arranging our visit to Bhutan. We had a very enjoyable stay throughout, and found everyone to be very hospitable and welcoming. We are very pleased to have dealt with you in all our travel arrangements, especially our visas and tours. Your suggested itinerary allowed us to visit all the places we wanted to visit within a short space of time. Our driver and guide were both very entertaining and accommodating in all our requests. The local food was great. We observed local artisans at work (photo). Many thanks again and we hope to be able to make a return trip soon.

Bhutan is beautiful in scenery, culture and the people

Dear Mr Sangay, My husband and I had a most wonderful time. Your country is beautiful in scenery, as well as in culture and the people. We hope they will not be 'spoilt' by the tourists and the western-version of development. We hope to never see McDonald's, KFC, Starbucks, 7-11 and the like in Bhutan, ever. My husband found the Buddhism there fascinating, and I love the fabrics of your kira, and all the other parts of your costume. We certainly will return for future visits. All the people we met are very nice, the hotel staff is superbly well trained.

Now I am even thinking to retire in Bhutan

Dear Sonam, Thanks. It was a pleasant stay & I have enjoyed it. Wished I could have based there longer. Overall it was nice, tried the wide selection of food, meeting friendly locals, enjoyed the scenery & what attract me the most is the peaceful existence on this remote mountain, the charm, simplicity lifestyle and strong belief in religion. Now am even thinking to retire in Bhutan in the future. Stay at the monastery or any remote village & assist in anyway I can. Hope I can make it.

Bhutan is such a beautiful country

Hi Sonam, Just want to let you know that we really enjoyed our trip. The trip is brilliant and very well-organised :) We truly enjoyed the joyful company of our guide (Karma) and the driver, who shared with us many interesting local stories. We had the pleasure of a good introduction to the Bhutanese culture in Western Bhutan during this trip. Bhutan is such a beautiful country; 3 days is simply not enough. We'd love to go back for central Bhutan later this year. The highlight of the trip is definitely the hike up to the Tiger's Nest. Attached below is a photo when Karma put our prayers flag on the way up to bless everyone who passes through. Please feel free to share with other travellers (and Karma, if you have his email address :)).
