I first learned about Bhutan from the media in the early 80s

I first learned about Bhutan from the media in the early 80s. After watching that documentary I deeply fell in love with this fairytale kingdom, it has been on my bucket list ever since. Finally my dream came true this October when my husband and I embarked on 12 nights Jomolhari loop mountain festival trekking tour. It was a birthday treat for myself.

To summarise this trip of a lifetime, there are only a few words. " mind blowing, soul rejuvenating, truly mesmerising"

Bhutan has put a spell on us. We have not stop thinking about this magical kingdom of thunder dragon since our return. This is not going to be once in a life time adventure for us, definitely twice and even more in the years to come.

Special thanks to Drukasia for making this trip so memoriable. Your trekking team are so amazing. They treated us like royalty. Please send my warmest regards to them. Apologies to our wonderful guide Dawa Tshering and driver Ten Xin for only remembering their names at the end of the tour.  Must admit I am always not good at remembering people's names so my friends nicknamed me " Mrs forgetful/muddle"

Couldn't wait to set foot on Bhutanese soil in search of happiness once again. Life is not about how far you travel, it's about what you discover!
